Regular Expression Test Tool

Attention! We have recently fixed a bug that caused problems with letter "e" in preg_replace expressions. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks to Solmetra Forums user Bobcat who reported this problem.

This service uses PHP regular expression functions as a base for its operations. Nevertheless it can be useful for programmers of other languages as well. Please use Solmetra's forums for support and bug reports.
Please note that no escaping is applied to supplied regular expressions. You got to escape your regexes properly yourself.

A - If this modifier is set, the pattern is forced to be "anchored", that is, it is constrained to match only at the start of the string which is being searched (the "subject string"). U - This modifier inverts the "greediness" of the quantifiers so that they are not greedy by default, but become greedy if followed by "?".

PREG_SET_ORDER - Orders results so that $matches[0] is an array of first set of matches, $matches[1] is an array of second set of matches, and so on. PREG_OFFSET_CAPTURE - If this flag is set, for every occurring match the appendant string offset will also be returned.
